The tournament directors are grateful to the 404 players and their family members who honored us with
their attendance and helped make this event a success, both for those who participated and for the
Boys & Girls Club, of North Lake Tahoe. Special thanks to Scott
Kooistra and Joan Rein for their help with GN XXI, and best wishes to them as they prepare
for GN XXII in Sioux Falls, SD, in September 2003. And to our tireless and dedicated staff and volunteers…

…The Boys & Girls Club Thanks You
We are delighted to report that Grand National XXI has virtually reached the goal we set for ourselves
two and a half years ago of raising $10,000 for the Boys & Girls Club capital campaign to build a
permanent facility on Tahoe’s North Shore, where they can do an even better job of being “the positive
place for kids.” Making the Grand National a Boys & Girls Club fundraiser was a requirement of the
North Tahoe PUD for using the Conference Center at no charge, and we did it without making any deductions
from sanctioned event entry fees or from Q-pools in any events. To see where the funds came from, check out
