Grand National XXVIII Co-directors Jeff Shimp and David Aiken hosted the American Cribbage Congress's 28th Annual Grand National Cribbage Tournament, held in beautiful Grand Rapids, Michigan, on September 25–27, 2009.
To celebrate the 28th annual Grand National, a special prize fund of $2,828 was split between all sanctioned 28-hands. The first one showed up in the very first game of the main, and before GN 28 was over, seven lucky 28-hand holders earned $404 each.
