Special Request
Many players have commented that
they have trouble seeing assignments and other TD information in the
chat area because of all the non-tournament related chat going on in the
lobby area. In addition, the TDs have commented that they at times have
trouble seeing the posted results and other questions from the players
for the same reason. As many of you may know, the chat area is small
and it is not easy to page up and down in it.
I am requesting if you are not
going to play in an ACC Internet tournament or once you have been
defeated that you do not chat extensively in the lobby. In addition,
once the TD begins running the rules, that folks limit the chat to
announcements and such things as good luck (gl), thank you for hosting (tyfh),
etc. This will make it easier for the players to see the assignments,
the TDs to see the posted results, and make it easier to report
problems, etc. I appreciate everyone understanding with this request.

Internet Cribbage News beginning with the August 2007 update.
August 2007 Wrap Up:
They’re off and pegging in the 5th internet cribbage season,
August 2007 thru July 2008.
John Reed
(eagle7374) took the early lead with 45 Internet Rating Points by
winning the first tourney of the season until Shawn Hudson (MuffinmanNC464)
combined a 2nd place of 30 Points in the first tourney with a
win of 45 points in the third tourney to take over the lead.
Elizabeth Miller (weezieboop) used her third win of the
season in the last tourney of the month to take the lead at the end of
August. She is averaging
an amazing 11.8 points per tourney.
A couple of noted tournament players
during August are: Beth
Witter (bwitter) who played only 4 tourneys, averaged 11.25
points; Rodney Duff (rodd56) who won the first manual
scoring Cribbage Cup tourney of the year; Sheila Crete (damonsmom);
and Monica Newton (oreo2757) who won the 2nd
Cribbage Cup tourney.
With about 200 tourneys left in this year’s season, and only your first
100 counting in the scoring, there is still plenty of time for them
AND FOR YOU, to get in on the fun and scoring of internet cribbage.

Tom Langford Crowned ACC Internet Champion
2006-2007 Season Wrap Up:
Tom Langford (yanknshank29) finished #1 for the
2006-2007 season holding off the surging Ray Fischer (Stinger96).
Tom heads up our All-Internet team for this year. Each member of
the 2006-2007 All-Internet Team receives an invitation to the ACC TOC
held in in Reno during February 2008.
The top 10% of point earners will receive invitations to the
ACC TOC held in February. 154 peggers earned IRPs during the
2006-2007 season. In addition to the All- Internet Team, 6
additional
individuals earned invitations to the ACC TOC held in Reno during
February 2008.
Everyone should remember that Scott Buhrow won the 2006 TOC
this past February. Scott received his invitation to the TOC
from his participation in the ACC Internet Program.
New eMasters
Tom Lewis and Donald Olney reached the level of of
eMaster. With Tom and Don attaining this level, six ACC members
have reached the level of eMaster.
The six eMasters will receive their awards
at the 2007 Grand National in Portland, Maine during the awards
ceremony.
Lifetime IRPs
In response to a frequent request, a new page that shows the Lifetime
IRPs has been developed. There is a link to
Lifetime IRPs on the sidebar on the
right-hand side of the page. This is based on the end of the
season database table developed by Don Ellis our statistician.
Research is underway on an approach to automatically update this
information each month.
New Emaster!
Mike Fetchel has reached the level of eMaster. Mike is
the fourth player to attain this level. Mike joins Mark van Dyke,
Scott Buhrow and John Schafer as eMasters.
The sidebar on the right-hand side now contains a new page 'eMaster
Statistics.
June 2007 Wrap Up:
It looks like Tom Langford (yanknshank29) has a
stranglehold on first place with only one month left in the season.
Remember the top 10% of point earners will receive invitations to the
ACC TOC held in February. Thus far 154 peggers have earned IRPs
for the season.
With one month left in the standings there is still a little time for folks to move up in the standings. As you
can see, there are seven folks who have recorded all the points they can
reach in their first 100 tournaments. With one month remaining,
there may still be shakeup in the top 10 as there are many players just
shy of the top 10.
Our Tournament Directors have held 190 tournaments so far this year.
Important:
The Tournament Directors will appear at the tournament rooms about 30
minutes before the tourney.
