AMERICAN CRIBBAGE CONGRESS (ACC)
The ACC approved a new Youth Program in February 2016 that will help maintain our future membership with enthusiastic young players.
We are registering new Youth ACC Members ages five (5) through eighteen (18) from Youth Tournaments, School Programs, Youth Cribbage Clubs and Grass Roots Participation. There is "No Youth Membership Fee". Youth Members will receive an ACC Membership Card and Number.
Application for Youth ACC Membership shall include Name, Address, Age, Date of Birth, email address, phone number and signature of Parent or Guardian.
New Youth Membership Applications are available from the ACC website (http://www.cribbage.org/NewSite/membership/) or contact Brenda Nason, Membership Secretary (ACC@cmspan.net or (888) 734-4464).
Another ACC Youth Program Website is at: http://r3013a.wix.com/acc-Youthcribbage.
As with regular annual memberships, Youth ACC Members will be sent renewal notices and must renew each year (No Cost) to remain current. At age 19, youth memberships will be automatically converted to regular annual memberships (with regular fees).
Youth Members may play in Youth Tournaments and when a Youth has the ability to compete at the adult level, the Youth may play in Grass Roots Clubs, Sanctioned Adult Tournaments and Internet Tournaments.
Those Youth Members who wish to register, or re-register, in a Grass Roots Club must follow normal Grass Roots Registration and pay Grass Root Fees. Youth Member participation in Grass Roots Clubs is at the discretion of the individual Grass Roots Club.
The Youth Master Point season will coincide with the ACC season of August 1 through July 31, annually.
Requests to Sanction a Youth Cribbage Tournament, with "No Sanction Fee", must be sent to Don Grumpy Howard, the ACC Youth Director (grumpydopey@sbcglobal.net). Please use the sanctioning request form from the cribbage.org website at the Tournament Schedule page.
The ACC Youth Director and Co-Director will assist Tournament Directors and provide information regarding future and completed Youth Tournaments to Cribbage World and the ACC web site.

The Playoffs are two (2) games out of three (3) format.
The Tournament has a minimum of four (4) players in each age group.
The two (2) age groups are:
1) 11 and Under
2) 12 and Older (12 thru 18)
With the approval of the Tournament Director, an 11 and Under youth may 'play-up' to the 12 and Older age group; however, a 12 and Older youth may not 'play-down' to the 11 and Under age group.
