Rollie Heath was born in Portland, Oregon on August 17, 1937. He graduated from Grant High School in 1955. He was inducted into the Grant High Athletic Hall of Fame recently. Rollie graduated from the University of Oregon with his major in physical education. He has 3 children: Todd, Laurie, and Lisa.
Rollie taught at Nestuca High School for 31 years and retired in 1990. He taught physical education, driver's education, and counseled and coached all sports except track.
Rollie joined the ACC in 1986 and has been a force to be reckoned with on the boards ever since. Among his cribbage achievements are the following: Life Master (*) rating with over 12,000 lifetime MRPs, and seventeen tournament wins, including the 2007 JPW / ACC Open, Silver Award in Grass Roots play with over 2,900 GRPs, ten Internet tournament victories with 1,071 IRPs; Director of many weekend tournaments since 1990, including Grand National XXIV in Lincoln City Oregon; certified ACC judge; past member of the BOD; and much more.
Rollie has been a willing teacher of the great game of cribbage to many players. He is always willing to help new players learn and with his skill as a teacher, he has mentored many people in the grand old game of cribbage.
Rollie was inducted into the Cribbage Hall of Fame at the awards banquet at the Grand National XXX in Reno, Nevada on October 1, 2011.
